Presently, the department has a number of on-going research projects in the areas of algorithms, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, database systems, data mining, information assurance, machine learning, and non-standard parallel computing. SEQUEROME is a web-based, sequence-profiling tool developed by the Bioinformatics and Computational Biosciences Unit (BCBU). It provides a unique and useful functionality of profiling each of the BLAST results to enable the users to extract the maximum out sequence alignment reports. Read more...
The Context-Aware Agent-Supported Augmented Reality System (CAARS) is a research platform with the fundamental goal of helping humans learn more quickly. CAARS combines augmented reality headsets with intelligent agent control to train human users to learn in specific domains.
